A contemporary design for a new family dwelling has been submitted to Cheshire East Council. The house will be constructed in block work clad in a mixture of white render, oak shiplap and engineering brick with a slate roof. The rear elevation has two symmetrical gables fully glazed to maximise the sunlight and views over the garden. Internally, the layout offers an open plan feel with oak frame features with a classic contemporary warm homely feel.
A fantastic commission to design this two storey detached house on part of a brownfield plot within the green belt has now been completed to planning submission stage. We are working together with local rural planning consultants who are coordinating the application. We have provided the detailed layouts and 3d CGIs so that our client can get a realistic conceptual vision of their new home. The design is aimed to blend with local housing stock using brick and natural stone flag roof, but with a contemporary rear elevation with full height glazing and open plan living spaces, complemented with full height vaulted ceilings to create added drama
A barn conversion is finally underway near Middlewich with the steel work supporting the first floor in place and floor joists laid. The photos show a striking contrast between the modern steel and engineered posi-joists and the old trusses. The suspended steelwork will provide an open plan galleried entrance hall with the old timbers on show as features. This is one of nearly a dozen barn conversions we’ve currently commissioned on
The first phase of this project is commencing with the barn conversion weeks away from completion. The brief included extensions to the existing kitchen to provide an island breakfast bar, new utility, office, ground floor guest bedroom and an orangery. The builders have made a great job and we couldn’t be more pleased for our clients
